SUMMER TABLE SETTINGS
If you’ve been visiting this site for long, you know we love to set the table, whether it’s a small gathering with our immediate family or an intimate gathering of friends. I’m excited to join a group of very talented friends to share summer dining ideas with you.
For my summer table setting, I pulled together my favorite blue and white table decor for this casual but elegant summer table decor. I started with a crisp white linen table cloth and a green buffalo check table runner and coordinating napkins, which hint to the green color palette of summer.
I mixed casual woven place mats and lace trimmed chargers with a more elegant blue and white Italian Spode plates. My Italian Spode is a favorite when entertaining because it is dish washer friendly and I find it versatile. I’ve used my scalloped salad plates for several tablescapes in the past and I love how versatile they are whether I’m using pink, green, or yellow as an accent color.
I used my Oneida silver plated silverware which is also dish washer friendly, along with an elegant crystal Wedgwood glass. These items help dress up the table a bit, but keep the overall look and feel welcoming for summer.
SUMMER TABLE CENTERPIECES
I pulled together a few of my blue and white ginger jars. I’ve been collecting these for years and I love to use them as a flower vase on a table, or as a table decoration. I picked up some hydrangeas and a yellow rose with a hint of a green color and quickly made this summer table centerpiece. The floral arrangements bring together the blue and green tableware and linens perfectly.
