I was excited to be invited to the Movie Tavern’s Grand Opening. The Movie Tavern in Little Rock is taking “dinner and a movie” to the next level. A movie theater that also offers full dining service to your chair? Yes, please! The only theater in Arkansas that offers in-theater dining service featuring chef-driven menus, premium quality food and drinks and luxurious seating, they have completely transformed the movie-going experience with the push of a button!

My three big kids joined me for their Grand Opening last Saturday, April 14th, and we had so much fun! When we arrived the line was coming out of the door! The Movie Tavern was bustling with people excited to experience cinema dining at it’s finest! The event benefited Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas, with a portion of the proceeds from the Grand Opening weekend being donated to the nonprofit. I love supporting businesses that give back, and I was proud to see the Movie Tavern in Little Rock starting their business off right!
They had family activities for all ages to enjoy, as well as a complimentary screening of the movie The Sandlot. My kids had fun watching the very-skilled caricature artist create drawings of families while we waited for the movie to start. They each got to choose a balloon creation from the balloon twister. My kids each wanted a sword, and my sweet girl requested Minnie ears (of course) and the boys requested an alien hat (no surprise there!). And I didn’t think twice about getting in on the action, it was Minnie ears for me too! They also had a fun photo booth and the kids may have had a sword fight caught on camera, but I’m not fully admitting it! I don’t think the photographer was expecting it, but what can I say, we like to have fun! Ha!
Once we were seated for our movie, we had our own server who responded to our needs at the push of a button from our seat! John was super nice and accommodated us all. We ordered the loaded chicken nachos and a large popcorn, and drinks for everyone. I was glad to see kid drinks are complimentary, it’s always nice to save where we can! They brought us all plates so it was easy to quietly share during the moving. I was wondering if the nachos were going to be your typical ballpark nachos, but they were gourmet-restaurant quality nachos for sure! The menu had everything offered from gourmet entrées, salads, specialty sandwiches and pizzas, and unique starters and desserts.
The Movie Tavern in Little Rock is perfect for date night, family night or girls’ night out! There are 23 locations across the country, but you can find their newest location at 11300 Bass Pro Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72210. I was excited to learn that they’ll be having a “Summer Kid’s Flick” series, a great way to keep the kiddos cool and entertained during the hot summer months. They’ll be showing Trolls, Sing, Boss Baby and Despicable Me 3, among others. I love taking the kids to the movies during the summer, and can’t wait for this!!
I have a fun giveaway for you! Comment below with your favorite movie for a chance to win a $25 gift card so that you can experience Movie Tavern for yourself. The winner will be drawn on Monday at random and I’ll announce in the comments below. This was my first local event to attend on behalf of Maune Legacy, and my family had a blast. Thank you to my friends at the Movie Tavern in Little Rock for including me in the festivities, it was an honor to be a part of this special day! I would love for you to pin this, so others can learn about the Movie Tavern!

We love the movies too! So glad you’ve already been!
So it’s about making going to the #cinema more of an experience as it used to be when films first started ?
