What do you include on a breakfast charcuterie board?

Any favorite breakfast food can be put on your breakfast board. Popular breakfast foods include eggs, french toast, sausage, and fruit. I used waffles on this viral Brunch Board.

A breakfast charcuterie board can incorporate many of your preferred breakfast foods. The board I created includes homemade French toast sticks, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, croissants and spreads, with a variety of fresh fruit.

What is a breakfast charcuterie board?

A breakfast charcuterie board is just what it sounds like… it is a charcuterie board with breakfast items in addition to cheeses and meats. Breakfast classics, such as cinnamon rolls and fried eggs can be included on a breakfast charcuterie board.

What’s a good breakfast cheese?

Many cheese lovers like either gouda, cheddar, or gruyere on a breakfast charcuterie board. Cream cheese is also a great option if your breakfast board has English muffins or croissants.

How do you assemble a breakfast charcuterie board?

Choose a board large enough to accommodate all of your breakfast items. Choose different sized containers to hold fruit, butter, syrup, and jam. Choose a mix of sweet and savory items and a variety of colorful fruits.

Why you will love my breakfast charcuterie board:

My breakfast board is easy to build with classic breakfast foods, fruit, cheeses, and charcuterie meat. It includes a variety of items, some of which even the pickiest eaters will love!

How to…

Begin assembling your breakfast charcuterie board by placing the main ingredients, followed by bowls of fruit, jams, syrup, and butter on different parts of your board. Syrup should be placed near the french toast sticks and jam should be placed near the croissants.

Fill in the empty spots on your brunch board with cheeses, deli meats, and sliced fruit. Using your own personal style in placing items on your board makes the meal even better!

Recipe Variations

You could add additional proteins to this brunch board like smoked salmon and ham. Roasted potatoes or a more traditional hash brown casserole are also good options.

Bagels with different flavors of cream cheese is another option for your board. Add some avocado toast by smashing avocados, adding a pinch of salt and pepper and squeezing in some lime juice and spreading over toast!

Chef Tips

If you want some of your food items to be warm when served, place those items on a baking sheet in a 200 degree oven. When you are ready to assemble your brunch board, simply pull them out of the oven and place on your board last.

Cooking Temperatures

Bacon is so easy to prepare in the oven. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place bacon on a cookie sheet on a rack placed inside or lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. I like to sprinkle the bacon with pepper, salt, and some brown sugar!

How to Store:

Store meat, eggs, potatoes, or fruit in a glass or plastic container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Bread items can be stored for up to three days on the counter top, preferably in a paper bag.

How to Reheat:

Reheat your leftovers in the oven on a low heat like 300 degrees. Leftovers are also reheated easily in the microwave. But if the board items have been handled by guests, or if they have set out for four hours, I don’t recommend saving or reusing leftovers.

Side Dish Suggestions

Some other great bread options for your brunch board are blueberry muffins, doughnuts, or cinnamon rolls! Greek yogurt is a simple source of protein and calcium that complements berries or pineapple.
