How to Build a Halloween Candy Charcuterie Board:
The recipe card below will walk you through creating each item on my board, but generally I place the largest items first, like the Pumpkin Jar and cheeses. Next, I place smaller items and spreads in small bowls to both contain the items and add some visual interest to the board. I’ve collected several shapes and sizes of white bowls that I can pull out when needed.
With cookies, crackers and other items that are round or square, place them stacked together in a straight line or a semi-circle.
When styling your board, add some decorative items around the side to bring in additional layers and texture. Here I’ve added spiders and bone hands for some fun, creative touches. As you can see, my bone hands are getting a little out of hand trying to steal some of the treats, ha!
Don’t be afraid to get creative with the items on your charcuterie platter. I created several items to go with my theme, like the ghosts, mummy, and witch fingers. While it takes a little more time to put together, it’s fun if you are planning for a party or themed event.
Stack and layer your items so you don’t have to refill as often when hosting.
