Mother’s Day Brunch

When you become a mother, Mother’s Day often takes on a new meaning. Mother’s day isn’t about getting a break from your housework or your family, it’s about celebrating those who made you a mom. It’s also about celebrating those who gave you life and who support your life. What better way to celebrate than with a beautiful Mother’s Day Brunch in a gorgeously curated garden. I’m sharing my Mother’s Day Brunch menu and table setting ideas and hope this gives you the inspiration you need to celebrate those you hold dearest in a special way.

I met someone through my church 10 years ago as my husband and I were planning to begin our family. Julie was my Bible Study leader, then a mentor, then a friend, and now she holds a special place in our family as JuJu to my five babies. I lost my first baby at 10 weeks along, she was at the hospital as I recovered and she prayed me through that loss and grief. That loss bonded us which was certainly beauty from the ashes. Julie and I have a lot in common including our love for a beautiful home where family and loved ones can gather. She has created an amazingly beautiful curated garden where I’ve hosted this Mother’s Day Brunch.

For the Table Setting, I used my round table and white garden chairs with a classic white tablecloth. I’ve added pops of color with my linen napkins and my pink petal plates and bowls. I wish I could give you the sources for these but they have since been discontinued by Fitz & Floyd. The plates, bowls, and silverware give this table a special touch for Mother’s Day. For the centerpiece, I used one of my favorites…fresh white hydrangeas with light pink roses and a few stems of baby breath. I used my gold silverware and white plates as a charger.

Let’s talk about the Menu because that’s always important! This particular menu is very special to me because when we were able to get pregnant with our rainbow baby, we were able to share our news with our parents at a brunch we hosted on Mother’s Day with a very similar menu. This menu consists of a little bit of sweet, a little bit of savory, a little bit of bubbly and a whole lot of coffee. Only the best for mom, am I right?

One of my favorite things about brunch is tasting a little of everything. When we’re dining out, I always ask my husband to order something different so I can try his food too. I really love a whole array of food choices which is why I do a huge Christmas Breakfast and this Mother’s Day Brunch. This menu is sure to satisfy and delight and you’ll have plenty of choices. Last year my husband surprised me with this exact menu but served on a tray in bed with my sweet babies surrounding me. That is a great way to dine on Mother’s Day as well!

It’s hard work for sure, and only pays in kisses, but my children are my everything and I’m so thankful God chose me to be their mother. My own Mother and Mother-In-Law are both so dear to me, and I owe thanks to them and loved ones like Julie for molding and shaping the kind of mother I strive to be.
