THE 3 SEO TIPS FOR BLOGGERS YOU NEED TO KNOW
SEO Tip #1: Let Search Engines Know You’re Out There!
Google is by far the most used search engines right now, and has a number of tools website owners like you should use to submit their site to this search engine, so they can crawl your website and know that you are one of the 1.3 Billion active websites out there.
One of the first tools you need to install is Google Analytics on your blog. Analytics will track the pageviews on your site and has lots of really useful statistics to help you understand where your pageviews are coming from, how you can improve them and set up your content strategy. Want to know where your pageviews are coming from? Google Analytics has the info! Need to know what your top post or page has been for the past 6 months? Find it on Google Analytics too!
Another tool you should work with is Google Search Console, which allows you make sure that search engines track all your pages and images, giving you more chances to rank on search results. This tool is where you will be able to monitor any crawling issues, the keywords with which people click on your site and much more!
SEO Tip #2: How Unique is My Content?
As a blogger, you need to set up a content strategy if you haven’t already. We all want to share our delicious chocolate chip cookies recipe, feature the latest trendy scarf, or our recommendations of things to do in New York and hope we’ll get hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pageviews. BUT, there are over 2.3 million search results for “chocolate chip cookies”, over 29 millions for “trendy scarf” and 49 million for “things to do in New York”.
How can you outrank all these? Here are the 2 questions to ask yourself:
How Unique is My Content?
Which Keyword Should I Use?
What is so special about your post that will attract web users? Are your chocolate chip cookies “healthy gluten free chocolate chip cookies”? Do you want to talk about the “best things to do in New York with children”?
Finding the topic and keyword for your post that has a good search volume, but little competition is key. The best tools to ise to get organic keyword data are Moz Keyword Explorer and KeywordTool.IO . These tools have paid subscriptions, but have the most reliable data out there.

These are great tips! I love that you mentioned how unique your content was. Creating content that’s too vague or general to appeal to a wider group can actually hinder your SEO. Your article is great. I will like to mention that, one thing many bloggers and content marketers have failed to notice is that Pinterest is an amazing traffic source just like Google. So, if used correctly, it can skyrocket your website traffic. As you mention, some will just pin an image for the sake of it without a description. Such an image becomes invisible to searches. But with a remarkable image description and the right keywords, you increase your chances of been seen and drive massive traffic.
Your comment is spot on…so much wisdom here! Thank you!
