A Super Fun Valentines Day Kids Party

Every year we have several traditions to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and one of my favorites is having a Valentines Day Kids Party. We surprise them on the morning of Valentine’s Day with a fun breakfast. I like to switch it up from year to year, but we will typically either have heart-shaped waffles or donuts. It’s just a fun, easy way to show the kids how much we love them. Afterall, I have three boys who will be my Valentines until they get married. And their daddy has two beautiful girls who definitely consider him their Valentine. It’s fun to celebrate together before heading off to school and celebrating with their friends.

I found these fun XOXO balloons at Target. You simply use a straw to blow them up with air, so these can be deflated and saved for later! Home Goods always has unique holiday and party decorations, and I found this XOXO and Arrow garland there, and I also found the Heart garland I have currently hanging in my dining room for my Valentine’s Table. My heart-shaped plates are from Hobby Lobby years ago, and I found these perfect little heart-shaped bowls there as well. They are so fun to put little treats in! This year I thought it would be fun to have some color added in to our Valentines Day Kids party, so I found the matching heart straws, cups, and napkins at Walmart. I’ve linked up some very similar finds for you at the bottom of this post. It’s not too late to order now and get them before the 14th!

I sprinkled conversation hearts around the middle to continue with my color theme. I served heart marshmallows that I found at Home Goods and mixed up some strawberry milk. The kids loved these donuts from the Kroger bakery…but I think any kid is on board with donuts and sprinkles. You can see how simple this Valentines Day kids party really is, but with a few key decorations and creative food items, it can easily become a fun little celebration. I save these decorations each year and just change it up a bit. Of course, the celebration is really about having fun together and making memories. I hope my kids will remember, and appreciate, that I did all I could to make them feel special, and loved. That is one of my top goals as a mom, and although I mess up daily, if I can accomplish this one thing then I’ll consider motherhood a job well done.

All the heart eyes for my three big kids getting along and giggling together. Is there anything better than hearing your kids laugh together? It’s literally the best sound in the world, aside from baby coos. I definitely love some baby coos. I hope you enjoyed these Valentine’s Day Kids Party ideas. I linked up some great Valentine’s decor for you. There’s still time to order now and get it in time for the holiday. I also love to watch for sales right after the holiday and save it for the following year!
