Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday to decorate for and one of my favorite activities is choosing Valentine’s Day Table Settings for our celebrations. Wether we are enjoying a family dinner, or I’m hosting a Galentine’s luncheon, I am always looking for new Valentine’s Day table decoration ideas.

For this Valentine’s table, I kept the table decorations really simple and easy. Obviously PINK was my inspiration and it is one of my favorite colors. I was able to pick up the perfect pink roses at my local market for only $20. They were tight in the bud so I knew they would last at least a week. To create the centerpiece, I simply snipped the stems and arranged them in crystal compote to add a little sparkle.

I found the pretty pink and gold garland at Home Goods and strung it into our chandelier to mirror the colors I had chosen and provide some playfulness for our children.

Valentine’s Day Table Settings

For the tableware, I used my gold and white china which is really so versatile.  I use it for Christmas and I like to mix silver with it for New Year’s. It could easily be used it at Thanksgiving with orange and brown details.

To bring in the pink, I used these lace-trimmed napkins that I found at Pier 1. Unfortunately, they are sold out and I regret not getting extra so I have them on hand in the future. They are perfect for Easter and Mother’s Day as well.

Setting a Valentine’s Day table like this is really not that much effort. I keep all my tableware, linens, and accessories stored in accessible places around the house so I simply pull together what I want.

While our family dinners aren’t formal, I really enjoy setting a table and adding little details that make it special. Sitting together at a pretty table, is also a great way to teach kids proper manners at an early age. It’s important to me that they understand how to eat in private or in public. I hope they’ll take these lessons with them as they go out into the world.
