Stunning Kitchen Christmas Decorations: How to Decorate your Kitchen for Christmas

I’m excited to bring you the next room in my Holiday Home Decor series. Having just finished my big kitchen remodel, I really wanted to keep my kitchen simple this year. In the future, I may do a little more, but I’ve enjoyed my countertops and backsplash so much that I really wanted to keep a clean crisp look in my kitchen. I did, however, add a few decorations and I’m excited to share my white kitchen Christmas decorations.

If you’ve followed my blog or Instagram very long, you’ll know the kitchen is a special place in our home. When we moved in, we knew the kitchen wasn’t the best layout for our large family so one night I drew out a dream plan for the kitchen, having no idea if it could work. We moved plumbing, the sink, the dishwasher, we added lighting, a decorative hood above the range. We removed a section of cabinets, and we created a 10-foot island. We now have our dream kitchen so I felt that less was more for my kitchen Christmas decorations this year.
I made a centerpiece of pink iced hydrangeas for my island. I displayed my arrangement on my gold marble tray along with a white candle and this cutest pink and white ginger jar. I always love to decorate in threes. When hosting events, I love to pull our different sized cake stands (I can’t tell you how many of these I have!) and I love finding yummy festive treats like this pumpkin roll and pudding cake. Serve them up with some festive plates and napkins and you have an easy holiday party!
On my kitchen table, I used the gold mirrored tray that I used every day in this space, along with a white vase of white hydrangeas. My local Kroger often has fresh white hydrangeas, so I try to drop by there every few weeks to scout for some. I added a few bottle brush trees and this white peppermint candle… the perfect holiday scent. I found this whimsical, elegant Santa years ago at a local holiday market. I’ve loved having it all these years and thought it belonged in our kitchen! I simply tied a flocked wreath to each of my large windows to give them a festive feel.
On the adjacent bar, I tied ivory satin ribbon along with strands of snowy, glittery berries and fresh cedar. This may be my favorite little holiday touch this year. It was so simple to do but so festive! I also displayed the gingerbread house we made as a family on our trip to Dallas. The two other items you see here are very, very special. I’ve had the Gingerbread Advent House for several years now and we used it to put a daily verse as well as a daily fun holiday activity. I’ve shared all about our tradition here. The Cookies for Santa plate is actually a plate that my mom used to put out on Christmas Eve when I was a child. It is so special to me and I’m so glad I have it to use with my children to put their cookies they’ve made for Santa each Christmas Eve.
I placed a strand of garland on the other side around the decorative hood. Many of our traditions will happen in this kitchen, from making cookies together to decorating gingerbread houses, to celebrating both of my daughters’ birthdays, to preparing meals for friends and loved ones.
I’m already thinking about next year, and I think I’ll add some fresh cedar garland and ribbon to my three pendant lights above the island and hang a small wreath above my range. I also want to hang wreaths from my kitchen table chairs, I just couldn’t find any that I absolutely loved this year!
I hope you enjoyed this peek into my kitchen Christmas decorations. Be sure to come back for my Christmas bedroom decorations up next!
