Christmas in the Dining Room: the Best Dining Room Christmas Decorations

Next up in my Holiday Home Decor series is my dining room Christmas decorations. Last year I used white, gold, with pops of red. This year I knew I wanted to go with a muted accent color and decided blush pink would go perfectly with the white. Knowing this would be the first Christmas to gather around my table, I really wanted this room to be special. I’m excited to share these ideas and my Christmas tablescape with you.

This is part 2 of 6 of my holiday home décor tour. I’m so thankful for my partner of this post, Amara Living. This post may contain affiliate links. All thoughts and opinions are my own. See our disclosure for more information.

My dining room has never been large enough for a tree, so I was thrilled when I realized I had the perfect corner for the tree we’ve used in our living room in years past. Honestly, the tree was in bad shape and has always taken so long to fluff the branches after it’s assembled. After decorating my new Living Room tree, it was tough to spend so much time on this one. I added a few strings of lights where the old lights had gone out, and I added a layer of spray snow.

I used a four-inch white satin ribbon with rhinestone edging. Just like my Living Room tree, I didn’t cut it this year. I typically cut my ribbon into 24-36 inch sections, and I love it both ways, but I love the look I achieved by intertwining throughout the branches down and up the tree. After I add the ribbon, I like to add my flower picks where I’ve folded the ribbon into the tree. This hides any gaps in the ribbon. Here I’ve used white and pink poinsettias that have glittery gold detail.
I also used strands of pearls and an assortment of pink and white ornaments. Some of my ornaments are shatter-proof, and some are glass. I then added a few champagne gold glittery sprigs to give the tree more depth and texture, and to add a little more shine!
On my table, you’ll find my Noritake Crestwood China with my Christmas plates and mugs. I used a gold and white charger, and my crystal stemware and gold flatware. For my centerpiece, I use white fur trees, glittery gold trees, and white wax trees and a few bottle brush trees. I also like to sprinkle some little white ornaments along with a dusting of faux snow.
I wrapped cedar garland around my chandelier, also dusted with snow. I hung a strand of pearls and I love the hint of elegance these little added touches bring to the room and fun detail to finish off my dining room Christmas decorations.
My husband always prepares a huge feast on Christmas Eve night. We go to the Candle Light Service at our Church, and then come home and enjoy a special meal together. On Christmas morning, I prepare a large breakfast that we usually keep out and enjoy for lunch as well. I make an egg casserole, French toast casserole, cinnamon rolls, and biscuits and gravy. I always have a bowl of fresh fruit and an assortment of cookies on the table that we can enjoy at breakfast and throughout the day.
Christmas is all about traditions and celebrating the importance of the season with those you hold dear. The dining room is a special place where memories are made and those you love are gathered around, so it’s a meaningful place to decorate. I hope you enjoyed this peek into my dining room Christmas decorations. Be sure to come back for my kitchen décor up next!
