Best Brunch Casserole Recipes

As you may be aware, I am a big fan of a good brunch casserole. My easy Ham and Potato Casserole with Bacon is a popular option for busy mornings and my Overnight Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole is a wonderful savory option that can be made ahead.

Casseroles are a favorite for me because they generally are simple and easy to prepare. In addition, they can often be assembled ahead of time and then popped in the oven to come out piping hot for the meal time.

What is the difference between quiche and a breakfast casserole?

A quiche usually has a crust, but not always. It also is made from a combination of eggs and milk or cream. A frittata doesn’t have a crust and uses very little or no milk or cream. Check out these delicious quiche recipes that would not only be great for brunch but any meal.

What’s the difference between a frittata and a strata?

With frittatas, eggs are beaten thoroughly with milk and cream to create a more custard-like finish. A strata is bread pudding turned savory, and it’s a perfectly simple dish to throw together for any special breakfast or brunch. After you’ve finished layering your ingredients in a casserole dish, pour an egg and milk mixture over your bread layers, and place in the fridge for an hour or overnight to allow the bread to soak before baking.
