As you all know I LOVE setting a pretty table and today I am sharing colorful Easter table setting ideas. I’m joining a few friends to share a variety of Easter tablescape ideas and I hope we inspire you to create a memorable celebration for your family. If you are joining me from Lory with to have + to host, welcome! I adore Lory and love her vibrant Easter table.

Easy centerpieces comprised of hydrangeas and roses anchor my Easter table which also holds Easter bunnies and eggs.

My Easter table features a green checked runner topped with spring tulips, Easter bunnies and eggs surrounding fresh floral centerpieces.

Easter Table Setting Ideas

If you’ve read my blog for long, you know I typically decorate with pink or blue. This time, I wanted to create a different color scheme so I used green and blue, with little pops of pink and yellow. I love how this color combination turned out!

I started my table with a crisp white linen tablecloth and a green gingham runner down the center of my table. For a centerpiece, a white cake pedestal holds two ceramic bunnies surrounded with pink tulips. I added in green moss bunnies and bowls filled with pastel egg decorations on the runner and I placed gold leaf eggs around the centerpiece as well. These easter eggs are not only easy to make, but also make a statement. Click here for my DIY Gold Easter Eggs tutorial.

Use layers to create texture and interest to your table settings

For the floral arrangements, I used blue hydrangeas, yellow roses, and an array of green flowers. This floral combination is so bright and cheery! They also make the entire room smell divine and add a lot of color, especially when combined with the bright pink tulips.

Easter Place Settings

For place settings, I started with a wicker placemat and topped it with a lace doily charger. This created some nice texture on the table. I then added a coordinating green gingham fabric napkin. A white dinner plate was placed on top and then it was all topped off with a blue rimmed scalloped salad plate. For the finishing touch, I added a pink tulip to each place setting.

What Makes a Great Tablescape?

Creating a beautiful tablescape doesn’t have to be difficult. Stick to 5 easy steps

  1. Prioritize coordination. Match/ coordinate colors and don’t use too many. Choose a color scheme that corresponds to the season, holiday or event. For my Easter table settings, I generally choose pastel or spring inspired colors.
  2. Bring in fresh elements. Use fresh greens and/ or flowers to add interest to any tablescape. This can be an inexpensive way to take our decor to the next level. Clip leaves or flowers from your yard for arrangements or to weave along your runner.
  3. Add candles. While today’s table does not include candles, I often do incorporate candles into my table decor, like in this simple, neutral Easter table setting. Candles add a touch of romance and beauty to your table, no matter the occassion.
  4. Keep it simple. While it may be tempting to put all of your beautiful pieces on the table, less can be more and you still want room for the meal! Keep the table uncluttered so your place settings and centerpieces shine.
  5. Variety! Mix and match pieces as I did above to create visual interest and texture. By layering elements, mixing dinnerware and linens, you can elevate your design aesthetic to create a truly memorable dining experience.

Mixing elements and dinnerware helps to create visual interest when setting the table.
