I’m so excited to share my Friendsgiving Ideas including a gorgeous Blue and White Fall Tablescape created with my favorite florist.  This Friendsgiving Brunch was featured on the Evite website, but I wanted to share more of the details with you here. As you know from my Fall Decorating Ideas, I love to use a non-traditional color scheme in my fall decorating. This tablescape is no different and I’m in love with the rich blue and gold details that make for a beautiful and memorable occasion.

Is Friendsgiving a real thing?

“Friendsgiving” is relatively new and is a blend of friends and Thanksgiving. It generally refers to a large meal eaten together with friends on or near Thanksgiving.

Friendsgiving Ideas

These Friendsgiving Ideas are brought to you in collaboration with Evite, however, all opinions are my own. A special thank you to Tipton and Hurst for providing the tableware and floral arrangements, and AP Monograms for providing the napkins.

When I am planning a festive event, I love to start with planning all the details of my event. I have used Evite for many years and I’ve always loved their festive invitations. They make it easy to invite and include my friends and loved ones. I’m honored to be included in their round-up of six different Friendsgiving themes! I wanted to share a few details with you, but you can find more details and tips by visiting their site.

I built the color scheme of my fall tablescape around my navy, gold, and ivory velvet pumpkins. If you haven’t seen these, they are all the rage right now and I know why! They are soft and plush, and made with a real stem. They look so beautiful around my home, and I knew they needed to be a part of this table. You can find a gorgeous array of colors of these pumpkins locally at Tipton and Hurst or by visiting the Hot Skwash site.

Fall Tablescape Details

Placemats by Bodrum
Ruffle Chargers by Annie Glass
Blue Fishscale Dinner and Salad Plates by Herend
Optical Gold Stemware by Vietri
Gold Compote Dish by Classic Touch
Monogrammed Scalloped Linen Napkins by AP Monograms
Gold Flatware
White Linen Tablecloth

I love that the pattern on this china is elegant but not too overstated. The layered plates provide a gorgeous foundation for the gold compote dishes, making perfect display for our navy blue velvet pumpkins. When hosting your Friendsgiving Brunch, you can simply set your guest place cards at the stem of your pumpkin to add a fun detail and guide your guests where to sit.

Fall Tablescape Floral Arrangement Details

We used the navy velvet pumpkins as an anchor in the center of the table.  Flanking them are two gorgeous fall floral arrangements on each side. The base of the arrangements have a mixture of white and chocolate roses, and blue and purple hydrangeas. This color combination not only goes perfectly with the blue, white, and gold tableware, but it is perfect for fall! There are pops of jasmine, ivy, and magnolia leaves throughout, framing the arrangement and the pumpkins perfectly. Chris Norwood from Tipton and Hurst created these gorgeous centerpieces for this table and the flowers brought all the different elements together!

As I mentioned, you can find all my tips and details related to the Friendsgiving ideas on the Evite site, but I did want to mention that I love setting up drink stations and food stations when I’m entertaining a crowd. As you can see, I set up a bar cart with a mimosa station where a host can either serve, or guests can help themselves. We also set a buffet table with an array of desserts so our guests could fill their plates as they were ready. I like to add decorations to both of these areas like the pumpkins and more gorgeous flowers! This helps bring the theme together and made for a gorgeous fall dining room!

My favorite florist

I wanted to say a special thank you to my friends at Tipton and Hurst for helped me design and create this gorgeous blue and white fall tablescape. From china and stemware to chargers and placemats you can find everything at Tipton and Hurst. In addition, they have a variety of pumpkins, napkins and other decor right on down to gorgeous floral design. I had so much fun shopping in their store and selecting the items for this table with their team.

Tipton and Hurst has been family owned and operated since 1886! With locations across Central Arkansas, they handle everything from internet sales and delivery to event design and custom floral arrangements. They carry a huge selection in their gorgeous gift shop with candles, home decor, silks and many gorgeous tableware pieces. They helped me pull off several other events this year (my Easter Party Ideas and my Summer Tablescape) and I never get over the talent of Chris Norwood and his team!

When should Friendsgiving be?

There is no rule to when Friendsgiving should be.  Many people choose to host before the actual day or right after so they can celebrate ACTUAL Thanksgiving with family. However there are those who combine Friendsgiving with Thanksgiving.
