If you’ve followed me here on the blog, or on Instagram, you know I love using blue and white when decorating my home, and gold is always a favorite accent color. Rather than use the typical fall colors of orange and yellow, I used rich jewel tones of blue and gold. I’m in love with the results!
How to Decorate for Fall: Fall Living Room Decor
My living room fall decor features elegant velvet pumpkins on the accent table and fireplace. The velvet pumpkins from Hot Skwash are handmade with real pumpkin stems so they have an incredibly authentic look, but the rich velvet material makes them the perfect decor for fall. This is my first year to decorate with Hot Skwash pumpkins and I am in love! I just can’t get over the quality and the beauty of these, and I look forward to collecting these for years to come!
You can check out their website to see the 60 different colors and styles they offer, and if you are a local friend, be sure to stop by Tipton & Hurst where you can purchase Hot Skwash pumpkins!
I added some gold leaf garland on both my mantel and my coffee table. I think it accents the color of my pumpkins so well and provides the perfect backdrop. Raise your hand if you like to add a little glam to your decor, I know I sure do!
I love the gorgeous fall florals from Tipton Hurst. They combined chocolate and white roses, with blue and purple hydrangeas, fall berries, jasmine, and other fall inspired sprigs. I collect ginger jars in white, blue and white, and pink and they work well as vases throughout my home. Check out my Spring Home Tour post as well as this Summer Tablescape to see more of my use of blue and white. I love showing how versatile these classics can be!
Beautiful white ceramic pumpkin candles and white and gold votives filled with roses have also been used in my living room. I love the aroma candles can bring and it always makes a home feel a bit cozier!

Fall Kitchen Decorating Ideas
I always like to add a seasonal touch to the kitchen. After remodeling our kitchen, we have a beautiful neutral palette that is always fun to accent with colorful, seasonal decor. Blue and white ceramic pumpkins have been added to a marble tray on our island and a large vase with fresh fall flowers. In addition, there are velvet pumpkins in the kitchen, and I love filling my bowls with seasonal fruit like pears! These are simple touches that instantly transform a space!
Another way I love to bring a cozy feel to my home is to have fresh baked goods sitting out on cake plate. It not only looks inviting, but can be a welcoming snack to your family and friends.
