DIY FALL WREATH IDEAS

Fall is such a fun season. From pumpkins and s’mores, to family gatherings and holidays, to boots and scarves, I love this cozy season! I had so much fun decorating for fall last year in our new home. My fall front porch ideas was a favorite among readers, and I was just reviewing my how to decorate for fall post from last year to bring some ideas to mind for our fall decor this year. Dressing up the front door and porch area is one of my favorite ways to decorate for fall. I’m sharing how I turned an old wreath into a fresh new gorgeous creation by recycling some of the faux foliage and bringing in some new as well.

When it comes to fall wreaths, pumpkins aren’t the only options, there are so many creative ideas below. I think there is something for everyone in this post whether you like decorating with corn husks, beads, and a few ideas for how to decorate a wreath with dollar store flowers!

  1. Choose your base for your wreath. You can use a grapevine wreath, wire frame, wire hoop, etc.
  2. Gather the Supplies. You will need a glue gun or floral wire. For this easy fall wreath, I used a color scheme of neutrals, pink and blue.

  1. Gather the faux flowers and decorative items. Think through color scheme, adding elements with various texture, and layering items of interest throughout. Fasten the decorations to the wreath with glue or floral wire.
  2. Build the wreath in layers. For my wreath, you will want to build a base of faux leaves first.
