We recently took our second family Disney vacation, and it was such a magical trip. Disney World is truly the most “magical place on earth”. Watching my kids run to hug the characters, squeal with laughter on the rides, and the look of wonder during the fireworks show… we experienced so many unforgettable moments. The Happiest Place on Earth

We knew we wanted to take another trip to Disney World as it really is the happiest place on earth! It had been four years since our first trip. We were excited to experience the many new additions at the Disney Parks. The attractions in Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Pandora – the World of Avatar were at the top of our list.  This was also a first trip for our youngest, so the Princess experiences were critical.  A peek around the blog will show we are big Disney fans so I have several posts regarding our Disney experiences like Magical Disney World Trip Reveal, Disney family outfit ideas and fun Disney World Instagram Spots.

It’s certainly a best practice to plan your trip well in advance so you can take advantage of early booking discounts, and book dining reservations and fast passes early. But I’m happy to report that if you find yourself in the position of planning a trip 3-4 weeks in advance of your travel dates, it can be done, and it can be done exceptionally well with the right people involved.

TIPS FOR PLANNING YOUR DISNEY VACATION IN LESS THAN A MONTH

FLIGHTS: My first step was to check the flight options. I questioned if it was even possible to fly with my large family with only weeks until our arrival date. We found the perfect flights and scooped them up. Our travel advisor could have handled this part for us (which would have relieved some of the stress), if I hadn’t already booked them.

ACCOMMODATIONS: I then reached out to Cindy Minor, owner of Small World Big Fun, to share my unique scenario and asked if she thought she could pull together an amazing trip for a family of six within three weeks, including fast passes and reservations at the coveted Cinderella’s Royal Table.  Cindy and her team love a good challenge.  Her first step was to start looking for our accommodations. Her team reserved two adjoining rooms at the Disney All-Star Music Resort, and I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. We stayed in the Toy Story area and large Buzz and Woody statues, toys and blocks were waiting for us each day in our courtyard. This was a highlight for my Toy Story loving kids!

PARK TICKETS: Cindy asked for a short list of the attractions, parks, and character meals that were a must-see for us and then was able to recommend the best ticket option. They recommended park hopper tickets so we could take advantage of all we wanted to do in a short amount of time. I’m so glad we were able to switch parks during the day to fit it all in.

We also had different preferences for activities between my boys and girls. Cindy and her team were so accommodating and knowledgeable in planning activities that I could do with the girls such as dining in Cinderella’s Castle and the Perfectly Princess Tea Party with Princess Aurora. They loved these experiences and they made the trip extra special.

While the girls experienced their top princess attractions, the boys got to experience Star Wars for the first time. My youngest son loved getting all dressed up in the Pirates League too. I loved that we were able to check off their wish lists and come together later as a family. It would’ve been extremely difficult to coordinate all the schedules on my own!
